The BMW E24 is the first 6 Series in history. Introduced to the German manufacturer's catalogue in 1976, it quickly established itself as a standard. This luxurious coupé replaced the BMW E9. While its design remained in the pure tradition of the period (simple and elegant), its conception was an industrial challenge.
