Schuco 1/12 Porsche Turbo 911(930) Turbo Coupe 1977
As early as the late 1950s, Porsche in Stuttgart-Zuffenhausen began to develop a worthy successor to the absolutely successful Porsche 356 model. As a result of these developments, the Type 901 designed by Ferry Porsche's eldest son, Ferdinand Alexander called "Butzi" Porsche, was presented at the 1963 International Frankfurt Motor Show. Due to the fact that the French car manufacturer Peugeot had already registered the "zero" between two further digits for its model designations, Stuttgart was forced to come up with another type designation without further ado - the designation Porsche 911 was born. A model designation that was to have an almost magical effect on the motoring world and all sports car enthusiasts after only a short time. After more than twenty years of further development and constant improvement, the Porsche 911 had reached an almost unbelievable automotive maturity with the 1984 model year. This is why many Porsche enthusiasts and fans of the 911 series still refer to the classic 3.2-liter Carrera produced from 1983 to 1989 as the best 911 ever made. A title, however, that every new "911" to date has absolutely lived up to. Schuco dedicates an extremely detailed metal model in large 1:12 collector scale, equipped with many great functions, to this milestone in Porsche history.
