For the commercial launch of this series, Citroën produced a very special orange version in a quantity of 200 pieces for the dealers' windows: the Citroën CX 2400 GTI Mandarine. The colour chosen by the marketing department is sufficiently original to attract attention in dealerships and on the street.

Nowadays, there are only 5 original models left with this original colour.
