To celebrate the 40 years of the Quattro all-wheel drive, Audi proposed, in November 2020, a concept car that pays homage to the 90 Quattro IMSA GTO that raced in 1989. Based on the latest RS6, the RS6 GTO incorporates stylistic elements of the car of the past, such as the self-ventilated rims, the widened wheel arches, the livery and also the side exhausts. The interior is typically racing. The RS6 GTO was developed by some young Audi apprentices.
